Achieve Goals Speedily!
Having worthy goals and ideals truly is one of the secrets of success. Without goals none of man’s greatest achievements would have been realised. So why do so many people stray through life seemingly without vision or direction? And why do so few of us not just fail to set but actually go on to achieve goals we have set ourselves?
How to Achieve Goals:
- The first step is quite simply knowing what you actually want to achieve. On a short term basis that could be something like changing your job or career or starting an exercise plan to lose weight. On a longer term basis this is more about your life plan and deciding on and setting yourself on the journey to the life you truly want. The first step is to ‘brainstorm’ and let your creative mind flow. Don’t hold back or sell yourself short at this stage!
- Once you have compiled this initial ‘wish list’ the serious thinking begins. You now need to consider each item (your life list) and decide what really matters to you. You can divide these into short, medium and long term goals. For example, ‘Buy new car’ would be short term whereas ‘study for degree and become a sports therapist’ would be long term. Ideally you should have around 3 to 5 goals in each category and generally there will be more short term and less long term.
- You should also look for a balance of goals across the different areas of your life. For example, financial and career goals, health and fitness goals and family and relationship goals. If you focus on just one area to achieve goals you will find the others suffer and your overall happiness and well being will suffer.
- If you have got this far you are one of the very small percentage of people who is willing to decide what they want in life and commit to writing it down! You can now break things down into manageable actions and milestones. To achieve goals effectively it’s important that this doesn’t just become a ‘To Do List’ though. What will drive you to action and to go on and achieve your goals is having vision and developing your passion to get the things you want and become the person you want to be.
Achieve Goals with Confidence…
The more you think about them the more you will activate your true potential and mental powers to achieve goals you have set. If you simply write them down and forget about them you will let yourself down. You must believe that you can achieve your goals and by doing so you will ‘magnetise’ your brain to attract the people, situations and things you need to move forward. Don’t be concerned about ‘how’ you will get there, focus on the benefits to yourself and your loved ones and paths will open up you can’t imagine at the start.
